Troubleshooting SmartLink Social Media Images
When you're creating a new SmartLink, Pro & Enterprise teams have the option of adding a custom Social Media Image. This image will appear for the SmartLink on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or any other platform that provides a link preview.
After you post the SmartLink URL to a social media site, if no link preview image is appearing, or the image is appearing incorrectly, try these steps:
- Run the SmartLink URL through this free online tool. If the image appears in the tool's output, then everything on Chartable's end is functioning as expected. Any issues with the visibility of the image are likely related to the cache in your browser, or the specific social media website.
- Clear your browser's cache, or try viewing the preview in a private window. The incorrect image could be stuck in your browser's cache.
- Check the image's size. Each platform, and even different type of posts, have different size requirements. You can view standard size requirements here.
- If all else fails, contact the social media platform's support team. They'll be able to give you specific guidance for your issue.
