How does multi-touch attribution work?
Multi-touch attribution is the ability to attribute several different podcast campaigns to a single event.
For instance, if Chartable measures that a device has downloaded a sponsor's ad from two different campaigns (podcasts), and then visits the sponsor's website, each of the two campaigns would get half the credit for that visit. We give equal credit for all campaign impression touchpoints a listener has before taking the relevant action (visit the site, place an order, etc.).
For this reason, it is not uncommon to see decimals in your Chartable SmartAds reporting.
Note: we cannot perform multi-touch attribution across other traffic sources. Chartable's multi-touch attribution only applies to podcast campaigns.
